Lift Every Voice Exhibit

  • The Griot Museum 2505 Saint Louis Avenue St. Louis, MO, 63106 United States (map)

Come experience the St. Louis premiere of Lift Every Voice, an exhibition featuring 15 hooked rugs inspired by Elizabeth Catlett's 1947 series I Am the Black Woman curated by guest curator, Maddy Fraioli.

These works of textile art were completed during the Covid-19 pandemic by 14 women across the continent. The artists hope, as Catlett did, that their collected work “be of service,” and “work to the end that love, peace, justice, and equal opportunity prevail all over the world.” The St. Louis exhibition will run from June 8th-August 17th, 2024 at The Griot Museum of Black History.

Free for Members, Included with General Admission (click the link to purchase a ticket today)

Please note that this exhibit is only available during regular museum hours
