Save Me A Place: A Weaving Workshop

  • The Griot Museum 2505 Saint Louis Avenue St. Louis, MO, 63106 United States (map)

Get crafty at The Griot Museum with Perennial for a hands-on arts workshop! Inspired by our ongoing hooked rugs exhibit, Lift Every Voice, we will be weaving coasters and placemats in conversation with Catlett's aim of using her artwork to elevate everyday experiences and bring your personality to the next time you sit down to break bread.

Lift Every Voice is a textile show featuring 15 hooked rugs based off Elizabeth Catlett's 1947 series, I Am The Black Woman, depicting everyday life in the 20th century. The exhibit is on view through August 17th and is included, alongside this workshop, with regular admission to The Griot Museum.

Free for Members, Included with General Admission (click the link to purchase a ticket today)
